The main Vauxhall and Chevrolet dealership in Dorset has gone into administration today.

Business will carry on as normal while administrators attempt to find a buyer.

I bought my Captiva from there three months ago.

I'm not worried, just thought it was a news item worth putting on this forum.

Unless of course they don't find a buyer for the service centre and I have to drive a hundred miles to gett the car repaired/serviced!

I'm not sure, I guess it might be. Not sure how far this dealership extends. Seward Wessex Ltd suggests it might stretch further than Dorset. The site near me is the flagship site, in a prime position between Poole and Bournemouth so it should generate some interest from potential buyers.

Remember for servicing, even under warranty,  that you can use any VAT reg garage provided they follow the manufacturers recommended service schedule

Iain

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front, oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back. Horsepower is how fast you hit and torque is how far you send the wall.

Surely there is a vauxhall dealer close by? they can do the servicing as the antara enginr is the same. my epica diesel has been serviced the past 2 times by a vx dealer using chevrolet original parts which they can obtain easily, but for some reason some of the vx part numbers are more expensive for the same part!
