Topic: Haynes manual.... radio removal ?Posted: 05 May 2010 at 1:30am |

First of all, hello all.
I'm new to Chevrolets, having just purchased a 2008 Chevrolet Captiva LTX (UK).
I have been searching on-line to find a workshop manual for the Captiva (eg Haynes manual), with no joy.
Does anyone know if such a book exists, or if not, can anyone recommend a good work shop manual.
I have been trying to work out how to remove the factory fitted radio, so that I can replace it with a Sat Nav and Bluetooth Phone like this one on eBay...
Can anyone advise me on how I remove the Radio, or has anyone bought one of these units. And if so, are they any good...
Thanks in advance
Kevin

I have been looking for a workshop Manuel for the captiva for 2 years with no luck. I also have the LTX bought it in Malta 2007 Model so if you find one please let us know.

Hi Kevin,
Don't know if you have found a manual yet but you could try this web site.
It seems to be an On-Line Service manual for the Captiva which includes info on removing the audio unit...as well as a whole wealth of useful stuff.
Hope it helps,
Ambits

I am also planning to install a new stereo with gps (sat nav). The link at the bottom illustrates how to install a computer, but it illustrates how to remove all the covers and the original stereo, also where to put the gps antenna.
