Ive just purchased a mint 2013 orlando 2 owner car. Very well looked after and a vast amount of paperwork.

Now I was under the impression being an LT model it would of come with cruise control but this isn't on the steering wheel. Also there doesn't seem to be any bluetooth on the stereo. It has parking sensors and silver bits on bumber and the LT badge. What is the right spec for this 2013 model??

The only problem I'm having is the heaters only get hot on high and there cold on the rest of the settings and the temperature guage only goes to a quarter 1st line. Could this be a thermostat? If so where are they located and where can parts be bought.

Also doesn't have auto lights can this be updated by simply changing the switch to an auto switch?

How do I check if the car has had amy recalls as well. Overall I'm very impressed with it and it is exceptionally clean and tidy.

My Orlando VCDi arrived with a similar problem. Temperature gauge not getting over one quarter and it was the temp sensor. Heating was not responding to the asked for temperature. The garage that fixed it commented that the sensor was the same as used in older corsas and astras not the newer vauxhalls. Oh and they said that they were always replacing those on those older Vauxhalls.
It is important to get the sensor fixed since if the engine is being told a low temperature then the DPF regen will never be initiated.
Post fix (they replaced the thermostat as a precaution at the same time), the engine still takes quite a while to warm up but gets there after about 10 miles. It does now adjust the cabin temperature correctly. The morning defrost is therefore pretty slow compared with the Pug 1.6hdi I used to run.
I'm new to these, if anyone else has more info or I'm talking rubbish please correct me!

Hi today i let the car idle for about 20 mins and turned the fan down to 1 and the temp down to 22c the temp on the guage then went to just slightly under half way. The heat at 22c is Luke warm. If individual or turn temp up to hi then the heater start to get warmer at 26c and hot on hi but the temp guage then goes down to a quarter. I've no idea if this is normal or not for these cars and very little info on Google.

The coolant is all topped up the top 2 hoses on left and right of radiator get hot. So I'm not sure if it's a thermostat or not.

I had a diagnostic reader plugged in so I could check temperature and when it goes down to about quarter on guage it read 68c half way was about 82c

Also the outside temp is showing 13c when it's really 1c at min again not sure if it's all related. I don't think I've heard the fans come on yet either but if temperature is reading 68c on odd reader then I guess they won't. So possibly could be a thermostat??

Problem I'm having is finding where it is and also if I just need a thermostat or the housing as well as I've found thermostats but can not find the housing and not sure if there the same as the 1.8 as mine is the 2.0 diesel.

Other than that drives lovely
