I took
delivery of my first Captiva 2.0 diesel LTZ in October 2007 and traded it in
September 2009, due only to changed needs. During these 2 years the only time
it went back to the dealer was for servicing""¦.in fact it was the most trouble
free vehicle I have had including Mercedes.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com

The speed
limit in South Africa is 120kms per hour (75mph) but I must confess to having a
rather heavy foot as reflected by an above average fuel consumption. I only use
low sulphur diesel and fill to the brim at filling stations.
I keep
meticulous records of my fuel usage and during the 2 years my total distance
travelled was 50,515 kms (31,395 miles) and diesel purchased was 5081 liters (1118
gals. UK). This includes town driving of approx.. 30% and country driving of approx..
70%
This
equates to 10kms per liter or 28mpg UK or 23.3mpg (US)
But then I
drive as circumstances dictate and not purposely for maximum fuel consumption
