Hi I’m new to here so sorry if I break any rules. Car failed MOT on Sunday because to much movement on the drive shaft at the transfer box .. mechanic took out transfer box gave it to gear specialist opened it up said it was banjaxed. See from this forum and Antara A’s loads of people with same prob with same part number 23247712
Have tried all local breakers in Northern Ireland and some in England no joy! Does anybody know where get my hands on a second hand one? Thanks in advance.

Caz, If you have read the Forum previous discussions as you say you have (Search results for query: transfer box) then you would have seen this post which provides two answers your question.
(Transfer box)

Availability is likely to vary subject to stocks where ever you try. The answer is to try the two listed; one by Victor and one by Ches. Other than that you will have to Shop the Internet.

As a new Forum user the following link will help you use the Forum in completing your Location (which you left blank on Sign-Up) and add you vehicle details on your vehicle ie year, variant (Series 1 Series 2), etc etc and place that in your Signature Footer. How to do this is explained on the following link :-

As Aussie Ed said. There is a huge amount of literature about it in this forum.

The only advice I can give is not to buy a second hand one as you will be most likely to have the same problem in the future.
