Hi, I live in Thailand and I have a Chevrolet Captiva from 2012 with an Ecotec flexfuel 2.4l engine that works under Gasohol E85. I was told that it is best to use E85 once a month to help clean the injectors and then to use other gasoline like Gasohol E20. Is it true or should I keep using E85 to get best engine maintenance ?

Thanks in advance.

Torso,

E20 has become the fuel your Government is encouraging (biofuel). Gasohol E20 to become primary petrol this month
You apparently have a flexfuel engine so there should be no difficulty in running your vehicle on E20. As for using E85 occasionally I think this is a contentious point.
In UK E85 is no longer commercially available. Some owners occasionally use a tank full of higher octane fuel or even an 'additive' or jet cleaner for engine maintenance.
I think the choice is yours.
