I have been reading the problems people are having with Chevrolet customer service, and I would just like to add my two penny worth.I bought a new Orlando from Luton in February and asked for a Tow bar to be fitted this they did on hooking up the caravan the tow ball was too high, I got on to customer care and was told they did not give out technical info over the phone or internet, and then refused to answer my calls. I had spoken to Juliet and was told to put it writing.
I then contacted the dealer who put me onto technical support, after a few weeks he came back and sent me the technical details showing the regulations of the bar and saying chevrolet says it is the correct bar for the car, it may be but the design is wrong.
I have been onto the tow bar manufacture both in Germany and the UK and they again quote figures and say it is the correct bar, I have taken photographs and supplied measurements to contradict this, but all they do is quote the regs which bear no relation to what I have fitted on the car.
This has gone on for months and I am getting nowhere I really need to step up the action but do not know where else to go. Strong letters to them result in them no longer contacting me.
It is a new production model and a new design for the tow bar and they will not accept that they have got it wrong.
The car itself I have lost all interest and have dumped it in the back garden and use my old car. I will never give up because the caravan is unstable, and it is the caravan that they blame when it has nothing to do with it. Lets hope Chevy read this forum.
