Coolant leak

I'm losing coolant from a 2012 Orlando 1.8.

I hope I'm not being daft, but it seems it might be coming from here (it was a lot wetter, but a lot of the liquid has evaporated)...

Assuming that is part of the cooling system... what is it called? Is it likely to be easy to get that part? How big is the job of replacing it?

(If it's difficult to get the part, is there any kind of temp fix until the part is available?)

Thanks.

Hey mate,

Not an Orlando owner but that does not look like coolant to me. If it leaked coolant notably, it would pool on top of your engine bay and cake in red/white stains.

You probably need to have a look under your car (make sure to use car stands NOT a jack!).

The expansion tank that you normally fill your coolant with has a few hoses coming from it. Follow those into the engine block. Alternatively, have a look at hoses into the firewall or around your radiator. Look for any white/pink/red residue; that's the leftover coolant after the moisture evaporated.

Also check your engine oil! If it's Milky, your head gasket is done and your coolant is leaking into your oil.
