disable the horn beep every time i lock my car? and also how can i lower
the sound of the door chime? a year ago i bought the Cruze and all the
settings for the car is conveniently placed at the radio control panel and i can
disable the horn beep with ease but with the Captiva, i'm at a lost so
can anyone please assist me on this?

well from the sound of it!!!!!!...

the horn should't sound!!!!!

so maybe it is indicating a fault in the system!

so if it was me, i would ring up your nearest dealer and ask them why it is doing it!!

good luck.

The only time the cars horn should sound is when the alarm has been triggered and you return to the car and disarm it, it isto let you know it has been going off. [sounds like there is a fault].

Dare I say it.... neither does mine (2008 LTX)...

I agree that the horn blips if the car could not be locked. Had that a few times, when a door is not fully shut. But no horn on locking and alarm setting.

Hi,

Yeah, my 2011 2.4 litre does the same. I would like to find out how to stop it as well. Many other cars around our compound seem to do the same as well. Wakes up the kids early and late at night
