As soon as 3 year warranty expired Engine Management Light keeps coming on.
Local dealer- Evans Halshaw- quoting £700 as they say that Head has to be removed, new valves fitted and new Head Gasket.

I cannot afford this so what I want to know is:- Is it very detrimental to the Engine if I ignore this EML.

It does not do it all the time but it is obviously worring that it does it all.

Car is a Lacetti 1.6 Petrol Auto 09 Reg

I still feel misfire
P0300

after replaced

1. Plugs

2. Cables

3. Coil

4. EGR

5. Fuel & Air filter

6. Cleaned TB

7. Checked all sensors r fine

8. Checked pump is good pressure

9. checked engine compression still good

10. Mileage 160000 KM

What else I want to do to solve this permanaent issue

In cold start after long stay, engine rpm goes up and down
no steady rpm

in warm idle rpm goes between 900 to 700 rpm

and I feel now power of car is very less as before used
