There are different answers depending upon which model Captiva you have - which you havent told us.

Go to Tools>Advanced Search>(question/topic)>Captiva

Certain Captiva variants can be done by the Owner and others are only via ODBII diagnostic equipment (usually by dealer). You need to provide more info.

Importantly what was the cause of the Warning Lamp. That needs to be addressed otherwise the illumination will continue.
