I have recently had my first MOT on my 07 Lacetti, but when I picked the car up the front shocks had gone. I presumed it was something that the MOT people had done to my car, butunfortunatelycouldn't prove anything and they wereinsistentthat nothing they had done could have caused it. I had the shocks replaced with a local mechanic at a cost of around £180. Recently my partner took his car to another mechanic in our area and they were discussing what had happened to my Lacetti. The mechanic then told my partner that he had repaired 4 Chevrolet Lacetti's with exactly the same problem recently! He said that as soon as the car was jacked up..gas escaped and rendered the shocks useless! Has anyone else had the same thing happen to them?

id say thats rubbish. everytime you would have a service or have to change a puncture you would have to buy new shocks. ive had mine jacked up loads of times (swapping tyres ,checking brake pads). and mine are fine.
