Hi guys,
I found the website whilst looking for information regarding a possible fault.
My father-in-law bought a Chevy Captiva from Peter Vardy in Aberdeen December last year. All was well when he got the car but after about 3-4 months of owning it he noticed a vibration when the car was put in 4th gear. Now it started as a small vibration but started getting worse so he returned to Peter Vardy for them to fix it. When he got it back it seemed to be fixed but after about a week it returned. Again he returned the car to them for it to be investigated. They have now had the car for almost 4 months!! and are saying its "something that the car does" and that he will have to live with it. At the moment it is with a gearbox specialist in Glasgow (the name escapes me at the moment) who have been asked to investigate it by Peter Vardy but can't seem to see the fault.
Now the question I have is has anyone else here had the same issue and if so what was it and was it ever fixed?
My father-in-law really likes the car but since he's not had it for 4 months is starting to get very irrate regarding his treatment from Peter Vardy. He has been in touch with Chevy directly but they won't commit themselves until Peter Vardy have diagnosed a fault.
