We have a issue with the handbrake 2.0 2010 vcdi, mechanic requires the front link on the hand brake, cant find it as a part,all hand brake cables are lh or rh to rear brakes these are working fine, its the main hand brake housing cable, currently looking at removing and get it made at a specialist, any ideas please??

I take it you're referring to the little link connector (see red arrow in attached pic). I don't think that's available as an aftermarket part but would have thought it was available from a Chevrolet / Vauxhall dealer. Thought at first it might come as part of the handbrake assy (GM20766702 for RHD) but doesn't seem to.

Gilly19, Like all Chevrolet owners, with the demise of decent Chevrolet dealers and problems with locating parts, you'll just have to search the internet and/or try breakers Yards like everyone else. As a long shot you can try around Vauxhall agents in case they have an Antara part suitable.

It helps immensely if you complete your Sign-Up. We are assuming you have a Captiva because you posted in the Captiva Forum. If you complete the vehicle details section Forum members will be able to identify the Model, Year, Variant etc.
The other assumption is that you are UK based (the Forum system believes so).
These two sections you left blank can be retrospectively completed and the following link advises how to do that, as well as provide other helpful information.
