You cannot connect any players through USB connection unless the device you are connecting to (the car stereo in this case) can recognise the USB device being connected and has the correct drivers.
For example, you connect your iPod shuffle to your PC for the first time and what does it do.. Search for the device drivers. Your stereo is not that sophisticated, unless it states it has iPod connectivity (ie all drivers and s/w previously installed) it will just not recognise it.
Best way is to use a 3.5mm jack lead to connect it to the Aux input socket.
