Do not know if it is the same noise as what I get, mine does it regular its the exhaust silencer either expanding or contracting [its quite loud]also it does it more than once. does anybody else have anything similar.
Hi, I agree with Big Al it is the exhaust system starting to contract, the exhaust temperature range on the captiva is quite large especially as it is fitted with a DPF (|Deisel Only of course) this means that the upper temperature is very high especially if it does a regeneration cycle on the DPF so the boxes expand and contract a lot. time will only tell if this has an effect on overall exhaust life.
yes i think its coming from the exhaust section at the rear, i might one day actually look underneath and wait to see if i can see where the noise is coming from!!!!
that doesnt make sense that,looking for a noise!!! but listening for a noise doesn't sound as efficent!!!
