Hi
My Orlando has had one owner since 2018 and I bought the vehicle in February24
I have a the engine symbol on my dash every time I turn the ignition on but disappears upon starting up assume that it must be an internal light codecheck?
The airbag activation light is staying on constantly for no.2 on the mid console area (red light airbag no.1 switches off after a few seconds)

Presuming it could be a malfunction when initialising this system? Also can a OBD 2 reader help me to detect further deterioration of this feature maybe?
Hope it’s not an expensive issue but MOT is fast approaching this Feb

Many thanks

Engine light is likely internal light check. Lights that indicate a fault would stay on, like the airbag one! Having an OBD reader is always a good idea to stay on top of your vehicle. I am not familiar with your make, but others might be able to recommend a good reader. Airbag (SRS) modules are usually not covered by cheap OBD readers.

We had airbag issues and our mechanic informed us that depending on the make or model, a fault in one section of SRS system can turn off the entire system. Better get it sussed asap.
