Hi All...another NooB here

I've just got hold of a 2007 (57) Captiva LTX - the problem I have is
that when the ignition is turned on, the green radio display comes on
and all is fully functional...however it arbitrarily goes blank - but
all the functions still work fine.

Help please...hoping it's a button i've missed or something (oh...and it's not me hitting mute which does similar).

Many Thanks in advance folks

captiva not my speciality, but here goes,
You say apart from going blank it is fully functional, does this mean you have sound from the radio or cd, if this, i would tend to think a faulty display screen. Have you read the owners manual, if you have not got one, it is available as pdf from the owners section of www.chevrolet.co.uk

and welcome to the forum,

don't forget those oil changes!

Thanks for replying - had a mess about and cleaned the fuses for audio and the internal display lights...seemed to do the trick as radio came on with display not going off...may be co-incidence...but i'm happy for now

...oil changes....oh dear...looks like i've a lot to read on here
