I have a Chevy captiva and the radio signal doesn’t work. I have looked on line and the video shows a left hand drive Chevy captiva with a different layout of fuse box to the right hand drive. Any ideas firstly on the radio reception not working and secondly the volume is very poor when up full. please

I the radio is working then maybe its nothing wrong with the fuse.
Maybe you should check the antenna location that its not corroded.

If you bought it second hand, the PO might have had a multimedia unit installed, when swapping back to the oem head unit, the antenna might have been left disconnected. That what happened to me. There are good threads of how to take off the facia to get access to the head unit.
