I have a problem with the rear wiper not working i think its the stalk as the front wipers are fine, garage had a look and said they think its the stalk as they checked supply with multi meter, after i left the garage the wiper worked for a while but now doesnt work at all, anyone alse had this problem, how much is a new stalk.??

Before I went that far I'd get a good auto electrician to have a look at it. It's probably not the switch, more likely to be an issue with connections/corrosion etc.

You just beat me to it Bigiain. My experience with items thatdont work and then do for a while once fiddled with are usually loose connection or poor earth

Try opening and closing the rear door with the rear wiper switched on.........................
