Hi Panick_MG
Have just booked my LTZ in for remapping by my local Vauxhall agent, who will use the Superchips kit. Having described the Bluefin system to me, they then came back and said that the Bluefin hand held programmer was not available for the Captiva - it would be remapped, but "unmapping" by me would not be possible as originally described.

Did you get your Bluefin system with its handheld remote? If so, is it good? Next Friday is Map day..........

Hi All, Have received a reply from Superchips who say thet they do not supply the Bluefin system because "of the nature of the vehicle's engine management software and how it communicates with our programming tool." hence thedealer needs the car to reprogram the ecu.

Thanks for all your replies

Just goes to show that it pays to be patient ! :D

Davidaj, Any / All members who contributed to the original will see the response if they are still active members although the last active post prior to your entry was February 2011 . This Topic remains open for others to visit and see, add to, and learn from. Virtually all discussions remain available via the use of the Forum Search function. Posts which include photos/diagrams older than 4-5 years unfortunately will not show correctly because Admin altered the structure of the Formatting hence some are no longer readable.

Unfortunately you didnt explain how you got yours remapped (local firm or an internationally available programme?).
The advances in 'tweaking' engines has come on leaps and bounds so it would be interesting to hear how yours was done.

To answer your side note .. I'm not sure I quite understand what you wish to do, so I'm a bit stumped with the correct reply.
If you want to add to an existing post of your own, you can use the Edit option via the three dots top right of your post.
There are two basic ways of replying; ie clicking on the word 'Reply' below a post will quote the previous dialogue; or you can reply by simply using the reply box immediately below the previous post (this leaves out the quoted text).
If it is something else you wish to do please explain it to me and if I dont know the answer I'll try and find out from Admin.
