Hello everyone.
I'm asking for your help and/or your expertise regarding my Captiva, which is driving me crazy!
Despite hours of searching the forum, I haven't found any information about my problem.
Like many other topics already discussed, I'm experiencing white smoke during regenerations!
But this time, they're extremely noticeable!
It's less noticeable while driving, but as soon as I reach an intersection, the car smokes a lot and smells strongly of diesel.
I bought this vehicle broken down at 136,000 km for €3,500 with faulty injectors.
I should point out that I do all my own mechanical work. Cars, motorcycles, campers, and gardening are a real passion...
This vehicle was broken down but had a good service record.
The injector had remained open, which caused engine failure.
The DPF was out of order, and several small parts nearby were in very poor condition.
So, I replaced everything and retrained the computer.
I replaced the injectors with reconditioned ones.
Thinking that the smoke problem could be caused by that, I had it checked again; it was clogged?!?
Whether it was a fault with the injectors or my car, I don't know.
Once reinstalled, the car still smokes a lot during regenerations.
I replaced a multitude of parts when I bought the broken-down vehicle.
Cylinder pressures are 1-2-3-4 14.5 14.5 14.5 15 bar with the air duct and filter installed.
Apart from this annoying problem, the vehicle runs very well.
It starts immediately.
It doesn't smoke (except during regenerations).
My regenerations are done every 600 to 800 km.
I also tested the injector returns; they are all identical.
I've driven this vehicle 10,000 km and I still have the same problem with every regeneration. I drive a mix of country roads and highways for everyday use, covering between 10 and 60 km at a time.
Sorry for the lengthy reading, but I try to be as precise as possible when providing repairs or information.
Thank you in advance for your valuable advice because I no longer see a solution.

- Oil change with all the manufacturer's recommended oil filters.
- New adaptable particulate filter because the inside of the old one had melted due to the injector.
- New DPF/Fuel Pressure Sensor - New Lambda Sensor
- New turbocharger ( CHRA replaced )
- New air flow sensor and map sensor
- New glow plug
- New DPF pressure sensor and tried with a used one.
Cylinder pressures are 1-2-3-4 14.5 14.5 14.5 15 bar with the air duct and filter installed.
- I cleaned the EGR valve and the entire intake ducts (they were very greasy)
- Replaced the intake valve.
- I tested the entire intake circuit as well as the hoses by pressurizing them and also with a smoke machine; nothing to report, no leaks.
- I have no fault codes with the Bosch Pro tool and Multidiag 2020 -
