Hi,
I hope someone can help.
I have a 2010 Spark+ 1.0 UK RHD, I'm looking for a clutch cable and every website seems to list the cable for the left hand drive this is even when I use my Reg Number and the car is correctly identified!!
Is there a problem getting them? Any suggestions for suppliers would be greatly appreciated.
I have tried all the usual, eBay, Amazon, etc even supposed specialist car parts suppliers.
Anyone know of a Chevrolet parts dealer in the UK?
Thanks in advance

Parts dealer is listed in the Forum (found by using the Forum Search function).
See this link :- Chevrolet Parts Mail Order.

Are you only looking online under the word Spark? Remember that the Matiz and Spark share common parts. Try search using Matiz and your build variant M200?

Simon as a new Forum Member the following link will provide you with helpful guidance on using the Forum to your advantage, as well as completing your Sign-Up Location which you left blank (the Forum system believes you are UK?) and adding vehicle details to your Footer or the left data pane.

There is a video on replacing cable which may be helpful.

Yes, interesting. Nobody seem to list the RHD specific part. If you watch this video:

1:45 to be precise, the part number for the RHD clutch cable seems to be 96683849

I fed this part number into this website:

It comes back as a clutch cable at £45.37. May be worth you pursuing.

Hopefully you don't have to deal with bulkhead failure like that Indian fellow!

Topgun, The Topic under discussion here is concerned with the clutch cable and not clutch peddle. (PEDAL)

It is preferable not to mix different topics.

Your question about broken clutch peddle already exists as a separate well discussed Topic. Yes others have had this problem. You should build on the existing Topic rather than mix it in with different topic. I did provide you with link guidance 17 days ago when you raised this question.

The Forum Search function helps you find discussions. There are a lot of previous discussion (see links here:- Search results for query: Clutch peddle Exploring these existing links about clutch peddle will enable you to see how other Forum Members tackled the problem which you have asked about.

To help you understand how to use the Search function and explore existing topics to get the best responses from the Forum, I've copied a Help link here :-

Well, cable has arrived and its wrong ☹
Everyone I have spoken to had said this is the correct cable for my car but....
The picture shows the old clutch cable outer next to the new complete cable.
The replacement is about 250mm too short!
The part number 96683849 in the video that Metro1000 is the correct one I think, but dealers can't confirm the length. (Approx 1210mm) not 927 that this replacement is.
Does anyone have any idea how long part number 96683849 is?
Bit of a long shot I realise.

I looked all over, and that website I linked to was the only place I could find the cable identified by the GM part number off that video, every other source and even third party manufacturers only listed the shorter LHD part, which is crazy because most of them were UK suppliers, I mean why would you want a Spark LHD cable in the UK?

I would either use that place I referenced, or head to a Vauxhall dealership to see if they can order one by the part number, although all the cars and vans are now Stellantis based, they must be able to get parts for the GM stuff.

Out of curiosity, I tried the same exercise for my Aveo, and got the same result, all LHD cables, no RHD to be found listed. Like the Spark, the bulkhead on the Aveo is clearly handed, different for RHD/LHD.

I hear you Metro, it's madness! I did contact a couple of dealers down this way( Inc Vauxhall main dealer) and all said they could get the cable but had no specs on it and I had to pay in advance!
To get around the problem, and since the outer cable was fine,I've got hold a "universal clutch cable repair kit" and replaced the inner wire only.

It's slightly thinner cable, and the adjustment is a three handed job(lol!) but it's doing the job for the moment.

I have since found these guys online...

I haven't contacted them yet, but I my be able to get a thicker inner cable made by them.
Thanks for everyone's input, I really really appreciate it.

Kind regards

Simon, EuroCarParts have a 'universal' clutch cable repair kit but dont state the length. I emailed them for the info but due to the Bank Holiday weekend I didnt get a reply from them by Friday last so I dont have the info back yet. I'll post the info once they do.

Hi Aussie,
It was Euro's cable kit I got, the cable is way too long, (good 500/600mm) which is fine!! As I said it's a little thinner but it's doing the business for the moment.
This is just a "stop gap" repair so I can get the car on the road again.
I'll sort the slightly thicker cable in due course.
Thanks for looking into this tho', very much appreciated.
Kind regards
