Just picked up the car last weekend from the garage, the drive belt is squealingwhen pulling away, quick look in the dark and I think its from the air con pump, Isquirted a bit of WD40 on the clutch end ofthe pump and tried to get a bit of oil down the back of the pulley, its made it a little better, any ideas how tofix it(forget about main dealer rubbish, never go in to those sort of places)

Cheers

further update its sqealing again, I adjusted the air con belt at the weekend and its still squealing intermittantly, I may have to splash out and buy a couple of new belts.

Thanks for the updates, bit rubbish no-one got back to you.

Auxiliary belts usually squeak more often than not because they are at the end of their life.

Coolant and oil often ruin them and of course just general agehardening(usage and open to the elements) makes them less 'grippy'

Out of interest, how many miles had it done when you had the problem?

Glad you found a fix, thanks for posting!

Thanks,
Scott
