problem on my captiva ltz 2008,
Car goes on limp mode, traction light go on and off, when they do go on,my car looses power,only reverse works well,
When i remove the positive terminal for 5mins ,the car drives but keeps engine light, ive just serviced my car 2 days ago,
It went on limp mode few hours ago,i rested and drove on, code P0980, P0977 and P0430 appears, could these be my sensors?

Loss of power (limp home mode) and stability control lamps can be either ABS sensor problems and or DPF requiring cleaning.

My suggestion is failed wheel bearing. It is known issue on series one. I had the same symptoms on mine and it was failed wheel bearing which disturbed the wheels abs-sensor working properly.

Both front wheel bearings were replaced on mine but the same continued until also the other rear wheel bearing was replaced.
