Hi folks,

Just a quick question.

I have a 2011 Captiva (with the big grill), and am wondering if these will slip straight on without any rubbing.

22 x 8.5 Vision Shockwave 5x115 +42mm (offset?), Chrome Wheels. The tires I am looking at are 235/35/22

Any ideas?

Cheers,

KIQ

Hight-wise I think they should be OK due to the lower profile tire, I'm really just wondering about the extra 1 1/2 inches on the width of the rim. Has anyone tried this? I see a few Captivas around with 22" wheels and just wonder if they had to modify the suspension or flare the guards.

I think it will all depend on the offset. My winter wheels (standard Mk1 LTX18's) with their slightly taller 235/60/18 tyres barely clear the struts ( about 1/2 an inch at best) so any extra width inboard may prove problematic, regardless of tyre profile. Unless you can try before you buy, I'd be a bit wary.

From www.wheelfitment.eu, standard offset is 46mm, but when the rim is an inch wider, I'm not sure if the clearance would be adequate.

I'm sure the right spacer would help the fitting, but they may well make it handle like a big pig!
