Hello fellow Chevy owners!

I'm wondering if anyone is willing to take a few minutes of their time and help me locate the variable timing solenoid (vvt) bank 1 on this 2012 Chevy Captiva 3.0 V6 engine, please!

Thanks in advance!

Chevy NewGuy, You didnt complete your World location but the Forum system believes you may be located in USA. There are very active Chevrolet Forums in the USA and they may better placed to answer on a vehicle model not generally recognised in UK/Europe.
You didnt complete the Vehicle details section so we need to know Which Year and build. UK & Europe only have a small number of 3.2L vehicles

Hi CNG, I now see you have edited post #1 content with the vehicle year data. Do remember this needs to go into the Vehicle Data section of Sign-up or in your Signature Footer both of which are still 'blank'. (refer the Guidance link in post #2)

As for location of timing solenoid on a 3.0 litre (which was aimed at the gas guzzling US market) I simply dont know.
The UK/European market was based around the more frugal 2.2 litre engine which is a different engine build to the 3.0litre. We have a few 3.2 litre older build (2007 etc) Forum members but the 3.0 litre engine appears to be primarily a US variant - hence the reason I suggested in post #2 that the USA Chevy Forum would have been the place to ask. You can watch this video - it may assist you.
