New member so go easy on me.
I've been through antara forums and no help thought I'd bother you guys.

Vauxhall antara diamond 2013 4x4
I get a wub wub noise that appears to be from the near side rear (right hand drive) when pulling awy from junctions on full lock, always when turning right , rarely when turning left.
Does not do it when going around small rounderbouts at speed. I have been round and round my local one.
Tyres are all the same age and tread depth. Front and rear wheel bearings are recent due to bearing rumble. Rear drive shafts feel the same slop in and out and rotted back and forth. Recent diff oil change ,still the same.
Anyone else had this and any ideas ?
I scanned through page 1-35 on my phone and got eye strain so sorry if anyone knows this has been asked before.

If I understood right, it does the noise only at full lock of the steering wheel? If yes, then it should be he normal sound of the steering pump/ steering rack.
The fact that the noise comes from the rear might not be true. I remember last year I took out and changed the brake pads on the front twice because I heard a squeak noise from the front, but the noise came from the rear brakes.

I am lost in translation with the WUB WUB lol!

On my Cappie, I had a "flapping" noise when I turned roundabouts. It turned out that the plastic plugs that connect the under shield to the wheel part of it got lost. I used some screws and nuts to hold them in place and the noise has gone.

From your post description I'm interpreting that the noise has only occurred since you've had the bearings replaced? Too much of a coincidence maybe? Make sure these are correctly torqued. Have you checked brake pad sliders; or could be misaligned rear drum brake shoes; or slightly loose caliper - check torque.
As already mentioned sounds can 'travel' through chassis and not be coming from where you think it is!
I'll assume you have checked tyre pressures are correct. Also check for tyre side wall damage (visual or internal hidden). This you could possibly check by swapping wheels and listen if noise moves to different location.

You mentioned eye strain on reading back pages. This can be more specific if you use the Forum Search Tool which can be found top right of header bar three white dots>from drop down select Search. This way you can selectively Search vehicle/topic.

Dont forget to post the solution once you find it.

Not had it on my chevy, but in general a wub wub noise at full lock would make me look at the steering components by the front wheels - bearings, track rod ends etc, something worn or loose.

Hey. Very interested to know what happened with this.. I've just bought antara diamond 2.2 2013 and I'm having the exact same sound coming from same place when turning right. I called the dealer that i bought from and he says its normal sound for a 4WD.

a wub wub noise
I had a the same issue which was diagnosed as a bad differential. Replacement quote 1500 AUD. Ebay price is 300 AUD.

Symptom is clunking sound from rear as you turn a 90 degree corner. Captivas only engage the rear wheels during initial acceleration so you won't feel it during normal driving.

I spoke to another mechanic who confirmed $1500 is reasonable. Seems like $300 per hour so i'll try it myself. 2013 captiva 2.2 liter.
